    04 Crankshaft in an 06 Engine

    Has anyone placed an 04 crank in a 06 motor successful? I know the trigger wheel needs to be re drilled, how hoard is it and what other changes need to take place?

    Good machine shop can do that work. Re drill the pin on the crank shaft

    It looks like its no big deal just move the trigger wheel one bold hole over and drill the pin hole???? Just want to make sure thats all it needs.

    Thats it, been done a few times. Some people just pull the pin out and reclock the trigger wheel. The six large bolts holding everything together is more then enough, the pin is just there to make it idot proof for location.

    BTW those flywheel bolts need to be replaced with new everytime, they are stretch fasteners.
