    worst day in a while

    Hey all,

    So Started early

    Dog crapped in the attic
    Hooked up the skis
    drove to the dock
    dropped the sl750 in
    parked the car
    sank the ski

    forgot the flippin drain plug

    ran for the car
    trailered the ski
    hopped out of the truck
    closed the door
    car locked itself

so here I ams time sitting on the ramp, ski full of water, draining out the back, truck running, doors locked, 143,212 folks in line to drop in. F*(K

Anyway, Pulled the plugs while waiting for my wife to bring the spare keys, oil gas and water shooting 6 ft out of the cylinders for 10 minutes. Ski drains, put plug in the back. try starter again no water this time. Plugs back in, and she fires up after 3 tries. Runs like shit for about 20 minutes and then its running fine. So I think I got lucky after all.

    QUESTION:

RUNNING FULL THROTTLE JUMP A BIG WAKE, HIT THE FAR SIDE AND THE SKI CUTS OFF. NO STARTER AT ALL. JUST CLICKING. PULLED TO SHORE, AND CANNOT GET THE STARTER TO TURN AT ALL. PULLED THE PLUGS AND HAND TURNED THE SHAFT. STILL NOT STARTER, JUST CLICKING. HAND TURNED THE SHAFT AND HIT THE STARTER, FIRED RIGHT UP. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED. RUNS GREAT AND THEN STOPS FOR NO REASON AND WILL NOT RESTART

    THOUGHTS?????

    tHANKS

    SEAN

    EWWW, bad day.......

    How strong is the battery?

Maybe the bendix is starting to dry out (lack of lube) and hang up?

Definately check the ground wires and connections.

Someone had a ground wire that was pulling out of the elec connector itself.

recently finished the attic, daughter and friend were having a sleepover

    Any who:

If the bendix was sticking, the starter would free spin, Right?

So: I think it is electrical box or starter related

I would be looking at the connections at the starter first.Clicking is the solinold closing. But the contacts in the solinold could be bad. and could be hit and miss. A way to test that is if it won't start or click, jump it with a heavy screwdriver or wrench. Or use a test light to see if your getting 12 volt to the starter side.normally the bendix will stick in the out position, not the in. But in the out, sometimes it will jam the fywheel.l

Sorry to here about the day Sean.
I would check the amps when starting. When ski is full of water battery may be shorting, causing a bad cell that sometimes will correct itself.
Other wise I would look at your ground.
Also you can open elec. box and see if any water intrusion. You want to have dielectric grease (sic?) on hand to re-seal box.
Because the way you describe it it seems to be intermitant. If not the ground, have K447 walk you thru. Dude is a warehouse of info. (elec).
    The old 750SS run good?

Still beats a day at work!

I lost my keys at Jordan weekend before last. I spent $26.00 at Ace Hardware on duplicates, rings, and magnetic hide-a-key boxes. I'll never be "that guy" again.

Since I went to Fall's last weekend how about you coming to Jordan next weekend?

    sounds like a plan Tony

    as for q's

voltage while starting is 13.6 on DOM

bendiz locking then flywheel--No--I can turn the crank with my hand if the plugs out

I think it has to be electrical

I will have to pull it out and trace it out
