I then put new plugs in and same this, no top end speen. on the trailer it seems to rev up all the way but in the water it doesn't. does anyone have an idea what it might be? im also looking for a starter solinoid for this machine also. what do you mean by piston wash? does that mean the plug or what the cylinder looks like? the plugs i had in it at the time were a bit black but i havent looked at the top of the piston to see if its running rich or lean.

piston wash shows the pooling (or lack there of) of excess fuel during the ignition sequence. Extra fuel lays on the piston crown and leaves a tell-tale wash pattern.

go to ace hardware and get a little bendable flashlight that will fit through the plug opening.

look around the edge of the piston crown. you want to see some silver around the edge

do a search for piston wash for examples
