    1994 sl 650

    I have a chance to buy a sl 650 polaris for $300.00 what are the chances the crank could be good? is that a deal or stay away from it? And i think that will work in a 750 sl

    See if you can index the crank to make sure it's in phase. Also roll it by hand to see if the bearings feel good.

    Only other thing you'd be able to use is the cases maybe.

    So not a great deal....

    I'd fork out another $100 and have your crank rebuilt. At least you'll know it's fresh and done right.....
