    Pump shoe recess??

What is average recess for the pump shoe in the hull??

I am getting .050 to .030 front to back on waterbox side and
.070 to .060 on other side. This is completly dry and clean with
    bolts tight.

Went to Yamaha this morning and measured new boat just out of crate
it was .060 all 4 corners.

Just finished reinforcing pump area as per Billy's detalied specs and
went to glue shoe in and found this.

    Thanks,
    Duke

WFO...I put the PPK in and wire whelled everything below the surface
of the shoe. There were some stress cracks around the original nut inserts
and has me thinking it distorted the hull slightly.

Mark it was great to meet all of you and hope to go riding soon!!

    Thanks,
    Duke

It is an 01, installed the new style inserts when I reinforced the
pump tunnel. There were some minor stress cracks around the original
inserts and wondering if this distorted the hull mounting surface.

Probably did. Maybe lightly sand the hull mounting surface to get it where you need it.
