    Pump Problem

I was riding my 03 gpr and the rpms shot to 8000 and the vibration was killer. I opened the pump and checked the prop and it was secure and fine. The drive shaft looked fine and wasnt worn out. I think the problem is the motor connection to the driveshaft is worn out. Should i get it replaced or put a driveline coupler? Or is there any other problem to be concerned with.
