Polaris 2 stroke keeps bogging out at 4000 rpm

Polaris Virage is bogging out at 4,000 rpm. I have changed the fuel thinking it could be water in the system, Took out the carb to clean the jets, I have replaced the spark plugs, and have checked the fuel filter to make sure it is clear.
    What can I do next?
Want to get back on the water....

96 SLTX bogs at 4000 RPM

    mine also doing same thing
Also runs rough at idle, hard to start, etc.
    Checked bunch of things.
    Noticed weak spark.
I am ohming out all the coils in the ignition system.

I know the ignition system, stator coils, CDI, and spark HV coils were weak design on the original units.

The engine has been rebuilt by others and may have the new upgraded ignition package.

I am using older manual which listed the ohm values for the original ignition set up,

Does anyone know the ohm values for the upgrade kit. The ones for the stator windings?
Specifically the exciter coil values for Black to purple and for black to grey

( the plug wires, resistor caps and HV coil are same as old manual and check out OK)

Will there be some windings that will have different resistance values?

    Welcome

Best thing is to create your own thread, rather than inserting your issue into someone else's thread. This may get moved by a moderator to a separate thread int he General Discussions forum.

The original domestic stators had two exciter coils for the CDI, the updated ignition only has one coil for the CDI.

    Have a look here and also click the links in my signature;
    Polaris Domestic (red) engine

Once you install the ignition update kit, you must use 2000 and later Service Manual specs when diagnosing the ignition system and stator coils.
How do I tell whether I have an updated or original type domestic ignition?

How do I test old and new domestic red engine CDI, Magneto and Ignition coils?

    Welcome Diggy!!
Replace the fuel lines, they will tend to restrict fuelflowand give you a lean run condition.
Try pulling the choke while underway and see if things get better. If it does, you're looking for a lean running condition.
