    Reducer Washer at Pump..

Just installed the open loop cooling on the ladies bone stock RXP and when I fired it up on the hose I noticed water coming out between the pump and the shoe where reducer washer is.

I get to looking around and under the pump jammed between the shoe and the pump is the washer.... it must have fallen off the last time I installed the pump. Which brings me to my question--

With closed loop cooling and this washer not where it should be what damage if any could have been done?

This ski has been like this for quite a while....

You will over cool the engine when the washer is not in place.

It probably never even got up to operating temp.

Sorry, thought i read you had open loop

With closed loop you can over pressure the intercooler but i have never seen one actually burst from not having the reducer in place. You will be fine!

    OK... THX..

I just put open loop on it last night is probably what you saw.

Guess I should get that fixed...

On a side note, how do you check for a blown head gasket?

Last time out it was I blew most of the antifreeze out of the resorvoir, but it was over 100 degrees as well. Oil looks good.....
