    Impeller Removal

    At a loss here...have removed pump housing and is now sitting in vice on impeller removal tool.....cone is removed also...only i don't see a 12mm allen key hole...I have been using the step by step guide provided here and also been referring to manual...says the same thing...remove nose cone to exspose 12 mm allen key hole...I onle see an oblong nut and then a larger nut under that...am i missing something here???...any help would be appreciated

    You are working on an '09? Maybe they changed the pump on 09's. It would be obvious on older skis.

    hhhmmm...I think it has to be done in reverse...meaning this top nut has to go in vise...then using impeller tool...remvoe impeller

    Holy chit they changed it......

    I think your on the right track though...

    can you take a side on photo..... it almost looks as though you put a cresent on the silver shaft part and one on the lock nut...thus removing the need for a prop removal tool

    OK...figured it out...sooo...place oblong nut(as in picture)in vise then place impeller removal tool in impeller shaft and then using large wrench(don't know size..I used pipe wrench..all i had at the moment) wrench it of CC no more allen key needed...at least for this model

    That is how the Honda pump is. On the Honda I just put that part in the jaws on the vice.

    Hmmm... the three nosecone bolts are no longer 120 degrees apart, either. WTF!
