I've started to see a lot of these surface on ebay recently, but I don't think they are something new. I think it is just a ride plate extension that bolts up to the two lower pump bolts. Same thing as an extended ride plate. Doesn't seem very rigid IMHO. Anybody have one or try one?

Those are for the 92 and 93 650/750 skis with the 146mm pump only.

Don't bother wasting your $$$$$ guys, and or gals.

unless of course you have a 93 sl650 with the 146 pump like I do heh.

or should I steer clear of this anyway?

I have never seen one installed, but I might worry about the stress it would put on those lower pump bolts, not to mention the pump base and transom.

What does that plate extension actually attach to?

it attaches to the bolts where the steering cone attaches to the rest of the pump assembly.

those screws are awfully small, so I have to assume that this is just someone trying to sell some leftover crap they found in their warehouse.

after more thought I cannot see these possibly being functional without breaking something.

that still leaves me with trying to find a good replacement ride plate.

I got one you can have if you want it.... Thought maybe I'd use it to extend the hurricane ripe plate but no way. It was a ton for something that small also. I'd put a 94 pump on the 93 if I were you.
