    genesis ficht 99 engine

    I'd like to ask if there is any possibility to make simple carbed engine from ficht model? What is different in these engines not looking into electrical system and cylinder top head. Will the same pistons from FICH model suck fuel from carbs?

    The 1165cc engines are mechanically the same, below the heads.

    Fuel tank sender is different, as are the heads, magneto, flywheel, throttle bodies, and the entire wire harness.

    There have been a few fuel-injected-to-carbs conversion projects discussed on here, mostly conversions from MSX 140 to Matrix.

    What about intake manifold? what is the differences carbed and injected motors?

    The problem doing a FI to carb ski is there are no head covers available.(Not being made by anyone currently),There are a few ones floating around made for the 1200/Snowmobile conversions. Now it might be possible to convert the FI head to work.........It's been lightly discussed.(between a few guys)



    Do a search in the Matrix area to get the info on the conversions.

    You could just leave the injectors in place, to plug the holes in the Ficht cylinder heads, or make up tapered plugs to seal the injector holes.

    That's the 2 ways we discussed.I guess it would take side by side testing to see which is better and if it would be worth the extra work performance wise.

    I'm from Lithuania. The thing is, that it's missing one injector end tip, there are also low voltage for injectors an so on. I decided to plug these holes with grinded metal also using some rubber seals. I'm planning to leave all same electrical system (because spark is OK) and fuel sender as well. Then I'm going to weld new intake manifold and mount carbs from any sport bike with similar engine capacity. The only question is will EMM send any trouble codes to start S.L.O.W mode???
