Both perform great!
Riva and Rotax Racing ECU's both have 8650 Rev limit
Rotax is mapped for stock injectors. Riva is mapped for 50 lb injectors.
The Riva is boost sensitive and can handle up to about 13.5 psi boost before needing to also run a RRFPR.
With the Riva ECU you surrender your warranty if it's still in effect.
The Rotax Racing ECU does not have knock control, the Riva does.
Riva also maintains all stock ECU fail safes and can communicate with BUDS for diagnostic purposes.
The 08 Rotax Racing ECU has 8800 rev limit and is mapped for 60 lb injectors. Still does not have knock control and cannot communicate with BUDS.

Thanks for the detail answer. What is knock control? What about DESS key? I saw Rotax Racing ECU for sale which works with any key. Is it possible?

Any lanyard will work with the rotax racing ECU.
With the Riva ECU your lanyards must be programmed. Just like a stock ECU.

I know that with the Riva ECu it has to be activated thru the BUDS system thus voiding your warraty... Is this the case too with the Rotax ? Will it also void your warranty ?
