    Welcome to the forum.
You've got other things to be concerned about, like swapping out your intake grate on that FZR before you get seriously injured.
    See post no. 61 here:

    so hi
I doubt your FZR is faster than a RXTX, especially on holeshot. You might beat him in the rough water/chop if you are a good rider

you can search on here if you are looking for break in tips other than what Yamaha suggest, but it is a proven fact if you break her in hard she will be faster but to each his own. and like suggested add the intake grate to be on the safe side cause there where several reported stuffing issues with different riders. however i have been on and around several FZ's in complete stock form before the intake grate upgrade up to 70 mph gps and never any bucking issue, so i guess for some not for all. and your FZ should be as fast as the rxtx or real close unless you are on dead flat water then little advantage for the x. CONGRATS on the new craft and enjoy

I think someone allready posted the results and he said it was very close those new seadoos are fast out of the hole I beat a 255hp GTX IS on my XLT last weekend but only on topend ,out of the hole he beat me gl with your new ski. Ron

I'm not trying to start another sea-doo vs yamaha thread. Last Thursday I started breaking in my FZR and now have 8 hours. Sunday afternoon I took out my gps and ran a best of 66.1. Granted I'm new to the ski, but that seemed a little slow. Maybe it will get quicker when it breaks in more. My 04 RXP that is stock with 103 hours runs 67-68. Every ski is different.

The TX is still probably faster than your stock FZR though they are fairly comparable.

congrats on the new ski, the RXT-X will be faster by 1-2 MPH but it is nice running 87 octane on the FZ vs 91 on the T-X

if you want a Riva grate I have one for sale and the seal kit just send me a PM
