    Gas leak!

Went to the marina tonight to check on the toys. The slt is on the trailor slanted downward. I pop it the ski an theres a strong smell of gas. Look in the bottom an theres a fair amount of gas laying in the bottom. Idk were the gas leaked from. I checked all fuel lines, I checked the tank for a leak, I checked the fuel/water separator. I think I did somthing dumb an left the fuel switch on an the tank built up pressure an came outta the carbs. But idk how when the carbs were rebuilt, I put in new 2.0 needles, an bought the proper springs that I was told to, and set the pop off perfectly. Only other option imm thinking of is that the gas filled up the intake manifold an oozed outta were the butterfly shafts are. Is it also possible the gas syphoned from the primer into the carbs? There was gas lying in the engine bed plate. So a carb related isuuse I think is the culprit. But I need help from you guys as always.

With the petcock left on, it may build up enough pressure to push past the needle and leak into the carbs. It should actually fill the engine though, not get all around the outside.

Maybe a hose popped off somewhere?

Maybe someone siphoned gas from your ski?

    All are possible.

Make sure no fuel is filling the case to hydrolock.

Well I found my leak today...It was a little tiny crack going to the return to the water/fuel separator. Amazing how somthing so tiny can make such a big mess....

X, its the line were the arrow on the water separator is facing the fuel tank. isnt that a retur line??? The line goes from the fuel switch directy to the water separator....which also means, a-hole me left the fuel on!!!!!

So that would be the water seperator inlet.

And the OUT goes to the pump.

    Or vice versa.

Nothing goes from the seperator back to the tank.
