I don't have the wiring diagrams handy, but you may be able to splice in another version of the Start/Stop module.
I suspect the harness connector is the main difference between the 4010906 and some other Start/Stop modules, but I don't have the info handy to back that up.

We have the schematics and we were looking at them to determine the very thing you suggested. we took the start/stop apart and found that one of the main grounding prongs was burnt and just needed to be soldered back on but we were going to look for the right electrical part to re-solder it back on but we can't find it.
question is, what made it go out the first time, we just bought the ski with a brand new sbt engine in it for $180.00usd never even started yet. we put a battery in it and found the start/stop smoking. it just came from a well know dealership in austin tx that couldn't fix it. right before the start/stop switch smoked, it did have spark.
we go the msx 150 oil leak resolved, it was a loose banjo bolt under the intake manifold that was slowly dripping oil.
