    Rideplate R&D vs. Riva

Which one is better on a stock Ultra 260X? What kind of performance gains can I expect? I ride in fresh water rivers with some boat chop. I'm also thinking about a pump wedge. Should I use a 1 or 2 degree wedge with a new plate?

    Thanks JM

My Riva does very well on the river however when I ride the local lakes I take it off because it sucks on the open water, way to ruff for the Riva.

RD with a 1 degree should work well for your waters.

smooth water=Riva and wedges if you like 1 or 2 deg (fastest combo)
    rough water = R&D with 1 degree
ugly water = OEM plate with intake grate ( but speed is not a concern)

I ride lakes and was told by the guys at R-Rated to go with the Riva ride plate, 2*wedge, NO JOKE! I listened and went from 64.8 to 68.6mph.
I used a GPS and I was on glassy water both times! Good luck!

We've run a stock plate, TBM plate, and Riva Plate with and without a 2* wedge and the best that I can tell you is get a couple of different plates and use the one that you like the best and sell the others.

I second the Riva Ride Plate + 2 degree wedge...great holeshot and I got 68.9 today on smooth water and after running this combo for a year...I am now very comfortable (and fast) in the medium chop water. In high seas...the pump wedge needs to come out. (FYI - I have not tried the R&D plate)

Stock Vs Jim's Modded Stock plate for a Ultra 260x in the real rough stuff.. Which one is better? I don't plan on running a wedge..
