    2000 RX coupler

    I have been searching for info on how to change coupler or driveshaft,but coming up empty.Can anyone point me the right direction? Thanks

    I guess you mean the PTO drive for the pump. IT bolts on to the PTO on the 951 engines. You need to remove the clip that holds the seal ring and then remove the pump and shaft. Then unbolt the drive and give it a couple of sharp raps with a dead blow hammer and it should pop off. IF it takes more then hit it on one side then rotate and hit it on the other till it comes off. Then do the reverse to install the new one use loctite on the bolts.

    What size is your through hull fitting and carbon seal? What is the length of the boot?

    So as I pull the pump housing out the back the driveshaft will pull out of coupler enuf to see what is broke?

    If you pull the snap ring that holds the slip ring against the carbon ring and release the clamp on the pto rubber boot the shaft should pull right out.
    If the splines are stripped both parts need to be replaced.

    heres a link to some seal carriers,i got mine for about $35 check it out it might work on your application
    and if it does all you need is a piece of 2inch hose and two hose clamps

    Thanks for all info guys.I took apart and see I need coupler and shaft.Parts are orderd along with clamps, O rings and rubber bumpers.Hope to be back in water saturday.Thanks again,Paul
