leaking rideplate 08 rxp-x.how to seal properly.
my mates p-x has been losing a little bit of coolant out of the rubber seals at back of the rideplate....just below pump.its very very little like a spoonfull a week or 10days.but hed rather it was sorted.he has no warrenty on it so ive said il give him a hand to seal it up.after plates removed how do i split ride-plate?just unscrew the hex bolts?and what do i do/use to seal her back up?just silicone rings round all of the holes from inside the plate?
any pics of rideplate split siliconed up?

ps is rideplate a pita to cum free from ski?is a jack best method?

Do you have the rideplate off? Just take one screw at a time out, apply Ultra Black below the head of the screw and reinstall. Get a big can of RightStuff to reinstall the plate, if you have it off. Don't try and reuse that seal.

Pull the plate. There are more screws under and in front of that seal and silicone. You need to unhook the coolant hoses inside the ski and take the fittings off first. They will break otherwise. Anyway to take a picture and show us what you are talking about.
