What's the process for winterizing a 4 stroke?

We're still a few months away from unskiable water temps, but when that time comes, what's the process for winterizing a Yamaha 4 stroke? I used to own a Polaris 2 stroke and all that was needed was to fog the carbs and run antifreeze through the lines...

Please post the winterizing process in detail...thanks!

The best way is to move to California and keep it in a warm garage

California? Are the lights still on in California? Last time I looked, Cali was not doing to good in the financial department.

I usually give the engine a good flush, make sure engine comp. is dry if not i shop vac it. Open up the intake and spray fogging fluid down there until the ski stalls. Then I remove the plugs and spray some fogging oil in. Then put the plugs back and bump the start / stop button a couple of times without turning over. Spray whole engine compartment with fluid film, wash and wax exterior and cover up with trailer tilted back. I usually put the front of trailer on cinderblocks so water doesnt pool on the cover and any water that may be in the hull comes out.

Well California does not manage my bank account. The Cash Flow is positive here. So as long as my lights are on and there is water in the Delta...I'm all good.

Up here in the great lakes I use RV antifreeze and use a 5 gal bucket full with a small pump and hook up the the flush fitting and run it like its on the hose, it gets to 20 below up here so I make shure it circulates well then I fog the motor as usual
