    FZR cuts on hose

This issue has been happening for about the last 10hrs. I am currently at 20hr and I have had the 10hr service. Anytime I have the fzr hooked up to the hose to flush it out it will cut out randomly, almost feel like idle is too low but it seems to be fine in the water. I will give it a little gas, around 3k rmp) and it will 'sputter' and if i let off the throttle and let it drop back down it will cut out so i have to let off very slowly.

I can run it dry fine with no issues for a second or two.
I have not noticed any performance loss yet and its fine on the water.

Also, there is more smoke than usual coming out of the exhaust.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Oil level?

I have read that the crankcase really does not like to be over filled.

Overfilled by 1/4 inch on the dipstick. So would that cause the cutting on the hose and the smoke? My dealer is a piece of $&[email protected] he can't even change the oil right and this isn't the first time I've had an issue.....

    I can't stop laughing.

Buy that oil extractor from the Hulk store--it works like a champ is it's also cool to sit back and sip a barley pop while the thing does the work.

Search the oil level topic--it has been discussed quite a bit and the SHO motor seems to be sensative to not only over filling but also the fact that the machine NEEDS TO BE EXACTLY LEVEL when checking the oil level.

The dip stick is in the front of the crank case so if your ski is nose-up AT ALL the actual level may be higher than what you think.

Not sure if this is your problem, but it is just the first place I would look.

I will start here, makes sense to me. I don't know how much 1/4 inch on the dipstick is in quarts but I'd guess its a decent amount....

Thanks for your help, I'll be working on this issue today sometime and will post back results.

Not to whine too much but yes, some dealers are @#%$ing crap.
I bought 2 new skis, took them out and first one wont restart in middle of the lake -- play around underneath the seat and find the battery cable off. 2 hours or so later we stop and same thing with the other.. same problem... jeeze.. I'm thinking they charged the batteries and forgot to go back and tighten?

What happens if you turn the water pressure down a little?

that was my first thought, i have very good water pressure here, i get some water out of the intercooler. But the thing is, it happens on other hoses too which makes me think that water pressure isn't the issue. but I will test that theory today.

Could be the plugs. You know if they changed them at the 10 hr service?
