    Proper Break In

I'm about to put together a a new '96 750. New crank, Pistons, Seals, Oil pump Block off, Triple outlet Fuel pump, and Carb cleaning.

What is the proper factory break in procedure? I don't have an official Polaris Shop manual, my Clymer is VERY vague on the break in process. What gas oil ratio do I use for break in?

Are you using the oil injection or premix?

Use only regular oil for break in procedure, do not use synthetic.

Heat cycle the engine a few times, gradually increasing time. (do not break it in on the trailer)

take it easy, gradually working your way up to 3/4 throttle, and always vary RPM. (don't hold a steady 3k RPM for example)

After 2 full tanks of fuel (about 10 hrs) you can run WOT if the piston wash/plug chops look good.

I'm going with pre-mix unless I can find a new oil pump. What ratio should I use 32:1 or 25:1 for break in?

    32:1 for break in

    And 40:1 for normal running.
