    42's or 38's

I have a 2006 RXT, Riva metal washers, Green wheel, Riva pro Series Water Box, OPAS block offs, 84MM nozzle, 4"kanaflex,XS Inter cooler 42LB injectors, catch can, Solas 15/20, Riva Intake grate, ride plate holes filled.

last Saturday on a 65 degree morning with 80 degree water and 75% humidity and 918 ft above sea level I ran 69.9 at 7820 with a 15/20 Solas. Similar conditions with a 19.5/14 I ran 69.6 at 8080. With the 42LBS injectors I smell fuel constantly. I am going to check the plugs in the AM because I think in this hot humid air like today 87 air 84 water and 70% humidity I am running rich.

Can I run the 38LbS injectors in the heat.

I plan on putting on a AFR setup on in the spring if the 2010 Doos are not the hot ticket. The SC slip was just checked and set at 120 inch pounds.

I am riding with a buddy who has a 07 GTX set up the same way less the Riva Pro Water Box. He runs about .5 slower with the same fuel smell. We both alos have Bilge blowers running to keep fresh air in the hull.

It is hot to me. I am more concerned about the water temp and humidity. I doubt the IC is very effective when the water is that warm and the recommendations were to go to the 42's with the XS I/C and the Green wheel.

I will check the plugs and if they look like I am running rich then I will run the 38's on a few short runs and check the plugs again.

You DO NOT want to run the 38s..You will be to lean unless you have a RRFPR..But from what i can see your not running one so you WILL have to stay with the 42s..IF you decide to put the 38s in you are gonna be dangerously lean to the point of catistrofic failure.

    Snoman,
Thanks for the input. Plugs looked good so I will stay with the 42's. I may have to depitch the impeller or get a bigger SC.
