    '02 GP1200r or '02 XLT1200

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forums BUT NOT new to the PWC scene.
I used to own a 2001 XLT1200, but unfortunately sold it to purchase my house.

So I'm looking to buy another within the month and I'm stuck between the two. Anyones input and suggestions on which one to get would be great!

    2002 GP1200r or 2002 XLT1200?

Same engine in both. XLT is bigger, more storage and can tow. GPR is faster, better looking, more fun to drive, and has lots of aftermarket parts available. I ride with 2 people on my GPR a lot, but it's only for short rides.

If was looking for a three person I would probably be looking at a 4-stroke, but that's me.

Gpr all the way. Xlt would never be able to match the gpr in speed.

Well I have been leaning towards the GPR after everyones input, but now I have been doing some research...
seems that GPR's have a problem with intake grates breaking, hull's cracking...

makes me start considering the XLT1200 now...

    Anyone have any wise words??

The grate is breaking at high speeds around 75 and 80 you plan on going to that speed? The tunnel reinforcment is an easy job! Gpr faster hull when done right! XLT better for more than one Not as fast! Unless you go visit Jim in Tampa on both! Both fun boats to ride! Good luck. Lee
