    2003 msx140 - Speedometer

    Sometimes my display will read 0, any suggestions?

    On the MSX models, there is a small paddle wheel speed sensor mounted in the ride plate, near the left rear.

    If it gets clogged by weeds or debris, the paddle wheel will stop spinning, and the speedo will read zero.

    Usually it clears itself after a few minutes more riding. Sometimes reversing will clear it, or just reach down with the engine off, and clean it off underneath.

    If it is at home on the trailer and you start the ski, blow compressed air across the wheel it should change the speed.
