    Cool

I was checking those out but have not seen anyone talk about them. Have you or any other Forum members used them? and if so how good are they?

    Hop,
in response to your question, NO I have not ordered one lately. I've thought about it.

It was BY FAR the fastest most accurate tach, I ever used on a watercraft. The temp probes are TINY and do not effect performance. Also, they do not "heat soak" like the Hot Tach ones do, which means they do not change temp readings over time giving false readings.

It also worked stellar in a single pipe configuration...The hot tach did not.

The tach is super quick. The unit is fairly easy to use. Nice features include battery charge, clock and a few other nic-nacs.

I LOVE THE DATA TACH...IT IS THE FASTEST, MOST ACCURATE, AND RELIABLE TACH I HAVE USED.

however....mine died about 5 weeks back.....this after 4-5 years of use ( i had an original)...greg has had it for 4 weeks now....he claims there is an issue with the programing on the new units and he hasnt shipped one in weeks.

im getting ready to put my gpr back together...so i have been putting pressure on him for the past two weeks to get my tach back. i dont want to use any other tach to tune in this setup.

looking to see if anyone received a tach from them in the past 4 weeks....

the clock is ticking now...ill have parts any day and dont want to be without a tach when its fired up.

ran it on my triple piper a few years back....imho, didnt see much use for with the probes placed in the manifolds. they need to be placed in the stingers to get accurate temps. i killed one motor trying to tune with egt's in the manifolds....nothing is better then monitoring PW, throttle crispness, and rpms for tuning...all in my opinion.
