    Question 4-tec -04 engine that won´t start

    Hello SEADOO PRO´s

    I allready have posted this thread in SEADOO Shit shat maybe this is wrong but anyway.

    If sombody have the time here is a "short" version of the problem and what I have done so far.

    One month ago some water pore in to the engine when we were lifting it in the back. I know now that you shuld NEVER lift it in the rear end.

    I immidetly removed the sparkplugs and cranked the engine so the water got out.
    We started the engine and it run fine! Then we went to the sea for a test ride for about 15 minuts. Later when we got home i was going to start it up to clean out the exhoust system from salt water, it didn´t start. Since then 3 seadoo technitions have tried to start i up but faild.
    When i got it home i found out that there was water in air intake manifold.
    Strange?? Then engine did run for 15 minutes without problem!!
    This has been taken apart and cleand and dried out.

    This has been done since then...
    * Changed the oil four times, no water in the engine.
    * Hooked it up to a computer, no errors on any sensors!
    * Maked shure that have a god blue spark (changed to new spark plugs)
    * Removed old petrol, cleaned out the tank (just to make shure), checked the fuel pressure, checked the fuel injecters
    * Just to make shure we have replaced every sensor in the engine. Except the crankshaft sensor.
    * Taken apart the exhaust system, check if there was anything stuck in there.
    * Changed the ingnition coils
    * checked grounding on the engine
    * checked all fuses
    * checked timing of the crankshaft and the camshaft (locked the engine in TDS)
    * used a diffrent ECM from another engine, put my ECM into the other engine and it started.
    * Made a compression test,,,,, but not a leak test!!!

    The engine won´t even start if I spray starting gas directly in to air intake manifold or directly in between engine block and air intakemanifold.

    PLEASE me!!

    A couple things, first do a leak down test just to be sure,

    lock the crank with the pin and put a mark on the drive shaft straight up with like a red paint pen then crank over and check with a timing light, ( you will have to use an extender from the cap to the plug) The mark should be close to straight up. If it isnt something must have happened to the pickup coil.

    Check with buds and make sure the tps is going from 0-80 or so
    Im thinking if it is shorted at wot it could be in drowed mode?

    Hi!

    Stupid question but...
    What do you mean by this....

    Check with buds and make sure the tps is going from 0-80 or so
    Im thinking if it is shorted at wot it could be in drowed mode?[/quote]

    We have hooked it up with BUDS, no errors? Could it be this any way?

    Whats the pick up coil?
