    Vibrating during acceleration?

Bought a used 05 rxp about 1 month ago. Has 39 hours and steel washers. First day i took it out, it was running fine all day. After i pulled it off the beach for a rest, i started it up but when i accelerated it vibrated like crazy. Seemed to be coming from the rear. I gunned it a few times and it went away. Motor runs fine, around 70 and 8100. It also happened today again after i restarted it. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

It's likely debris getting into the impeller.

Check your pump. Sounds like you sucked something up. Make sure your impeller isn't damaged and replace your wear ring.

yep. you sucked something up. could be a plastic bag, balloon, etc.

Happens all the time. Happened to me last week with a shopping bag.

Wow fast replies thanks bros. But i checked the impeller and there is nothing in there. The wear ring has some scoring on the leading edge and other end, ill be replacing that ( are the metal ones any good?). Im doubting that its the ski sucking something up because it has happened 3 times already. It did it out on the river today also

my .02, i'd check the torque on the impeller to pump shaft. 92ftlbs

    good luck

Checked torque it was all good. I've heard some people get vibrating when they're SC blows? Could that have happened, although mine has metal washers.

believe me, the smallest thing can do it. Had the same issue. couldn't find anything, till I happened to look and see a piece about the size of a pencil point on the impeller. removed, and it was good to go. I picked it up at idle waiting to retrieve. doesn't take much.
