    R and d grate v/s riva grate for p or t

I see comparison's all of the time when it comes to intake grates for the x boats. I have always ran the Riva grate and had good success. I have always wondered whether the R and D grate is as good or better than the Riva or is one better in certain condtions?

Depends on what speeds your willing to go to. Riva is good for 74 or so. R&D shines after that IMO.

With the P its not such a big deal of stuffing but more when its going to break. I may be in a small club but in the 80+ area the Riva grates just don't seem to hold up. I'm sure that below 80 they are fine but that does define the integrity IMO.

They hold up great when you use the R&D intake grate girdle

Some good info on fitting the R&D grate girdle to the Riva grate
