    Tired of superchargers

These friggin SCs are so much of a pain in the ass. Friday i put a brand spanking new stock charger in a ski and trusted that it was good to go. What did it do? Dropped every last bit of hardware off the shaft except for on clutch washer. How the ski didn't do anything besides chew up the flywheel and scar the oil pumps is beyond me. Last week my S3 started slipping after only 10 hours of use. Finally sunday Rustysearustydoo's clutch on his stock SC let go. The only good thing about that was that it lasted 190 hours and really only needs the cltuch! The washers were Jerry's original ones that he sold back in 06 and they are still thick and meaty. Man we need an easier turbo solution!

Too bad we can't make a lot of power with N/A motors.

I still want to see how that clutch holds up after a full season with you guys running 16psi of boost and 8500 RPM in chop. Time will tell.

The seadoo uses a friction clutch. Yamaha uses a sprag clutch.

The friction clutch wears with use. The sprag clutch will just break
We have had real good luck with the sprag clutch when running a BOV.

In the few cases I've heard of sprags breaking they haven't grenaded the motor though have they? What damage does it cause the Yami? The Doo explosions turn into... well...

but if the Sprag clutch is better why the Sea Doo didn't use it ??
