    Marine Tex?

I've been searching for Marine Tex for my winter repair and respray project, but it doesn't seem to be available in UK. How should I explain to a GRP repair supplies or bodyshop what the material is that I want to fill to get a suitable alternative. I only need to fill scratches, not repair holes! Any help woiuld be greatfully received. Cheers. DaveW.

Thank's, but they won't ship to UK due to 'Hazardous' nature of product. I checked them out yesterday and all epoxy repair stuff is the same!

Talk to a body shop. You must have cars that are made of SMC over there.

Thank's guys. The shipping issue seems to be with the carriers, not the suppliers, so may have problems getting it shipped from U.S. whoever supplies it. I'll talk to a bodyshop if you think SMC is a common product in car repairs. I've got some time tomorrow so I can call into a trusted bodyshop I know locally. Thank's again, Cheers Dave.

I sent an email to Marine-Tex to see if they have a distributor over there. Will let you know if I hear anything back. Is it the powder or the liquid that's the problem, or is it the combo? Might be able to split it up and send it that way without violating any laws.

Not so much that they use SMC in car repairs.... I am saying that there has to be some cars over there made of SMC or fiberglass. Also you could go to a watercraft repair shop and ask them what they do.
