What is the size of the plug...

...that seals off the stator? The plug that is on top of the motor in the front.

Measure the hole with an inside caliper and then go to your nearest winery and measure the cork with an outside caliper.

well if you dont want to drink any. im pretty sure there is some one that would luv to.

but that wine cork will work great until a new oem plug arrives.

It seems to be some sort of tapered thread. 1/2" pipe is too big, and 3/8 pipe is a bit small. But, I just found that with the taper, the 3/8 plug will snug up when tightened. Just use some ThreeBond on it to ensure it seals well enough.

If you have a spare temp. sender, it would work. It's 3/8 npt. I'd still use some sort of sealant, and don't torque too tight.

You da man!! If my store doesn't have any 3/8" plugs, I'll have to use the wine cork idea
