Help me build the best 250x motor on a budget
Hey guys if you have been following my build in the projects section then you know whats up but if not here is a refresher
2005 stx15f not running for it for $500
r&d rideplate, intake grate, sponsons
stx900 steering stem (the shorter one)
ferrea valves with a full port and polish along with some runner work
secondary waterbox bypass
250x pistons (thanks Jwilson )
and that's about where it stands, now i need to get the 250 or 260 ecu and some form of compressor, fuel pump and some subaru injectors,
what does everyone think as far as this goes, should i change anything? is there anything i should keep an eye out for? and is there any specific charger i should look for?
at the moment it is looking like a turbo will be simpler because all i need is pipe and an intercooler and i dont have to worry about belts...
what do yall think?
I am planning on getting aftermarket piston rings, does that mean i wont have the gio issue?

are you going to put 250 pistons into a 15f engine ???
can you explain your engine build me i am just a slow aussie

Im planning on using the 250x pistons to lower the compression so i can supercharge or turbocharge it

what about the pin height difference ?
a 250 cylinder is a differnt hieght than a 15f to compensate for the pin height diference
am i missing some thing
it like 5mm taller from what i have been told
not many parts are interchanable between the 15 and the 250 when you get down to the nitty gritty

i didnt know that it was that much, i guess ill just check for interferance and then do the compression ratio when i get the pistons.

i am only going what other people have told me mate i could be 100% wrong
when you get them could you do a pin to pin and post a pic

i was wondering where to get upgrade valve kits from (good link ), what is the benefit of those ferrea valves over stock ?
are there any titanium sets available at all ?

the inlets are a step forward as the stock kawi ones are not a stainless valve
only benifit then is the rust factor and cost over OEM
Ferrea will make inconell stainless valves custome for the 250 engine but at the same cost as the oem kawi valve
