Anyone have an EMM I can borrow/rent/steal?

I would like to verify that my newly acquired 2002 Virage TXi runs and to help with winterizing it and storing it away for the winter.

I am positive my EMM is bad, and will be sending out to DFI at some point.

I just would like to borrow or rent an EMM for a couple of days simply to satisfy my curiosity...I am sure you guys can understand.

anyone? is doing this even ok or do I have to swap injectors as well?

You can start and run it with the injectors not matched to the EMM. It may run a little roughly, of course.

Just don't start riding it around above about 1/4 throttle

heh I would love to wot that thing for a few hours, but I kinda figured I would not be able to.

getting it running for a short period would at least satisfy my curiosity though.

If I used your good EMM and gave it back to you and it didn't work for very long afterwards or failed when I got it back to you ,would you expect me pay for it to be fixed ?If I had other electrical issues that caused the problem to the emm then there would be 2 Emm 's sent to DFI .What would you expect me to do for you ?Best to avoid the issue from the start .These ski's are hard enough to keep going with out sharing the electrical components around .I am sure that most would agree .Hence the reply you have got .

yeah I kinda knew that, but it didn't hurt to ask.

thanks for the unexpectedly acidic reply though...I will try to contain my enthusiasm in the future.

Acidic ? I was basically asking you to ask yourself the ?'s that I put forward and when you had answered them honestly you have your reason for people not coming to your aid .I shall get my ph tester out in future before I post so as to not offend
    Good luck with your Emm
    Cheers
