    Catch can full

question for you guys, first day back out in a bit, it was really choppy so was coming unhooked a bunch. got home and noticed my catch can was about half full today, thought that was odd.... then my buddy who was riding with me today called me and told me that his catch can had overflowed. the only thing he and i have both installed lately was the JD1 open loop which i followed instructions to the letter and the riva open loop plate. anyone have any ideas? my only original thought is that i was running rich and dumped some extra fuel today due to it being colder but he just installed a BEGi and tuned it perfect yesterday and his was worse then mine?? im stumped!

    Thank You,

Jeff, I'm glad you posted this issue. I almost shit in my pants, when i saw all that milky oil in my engine compartment. I hope that one of the top dogs chime in on this. I wish Dan can tell us about this issue too. After a good day of fun and high speed runs. Find this mess in your ski not good.

My only thought is that the head is not fully warm, allowing the valve seats to not fully seal and let blow by occur...Is your open loop system running a valve and/temp gauge?

Danny, We not running a temp gauge or valve. If this would take care of the problem will do.

Jeff, where you order the gauge from. I'm going to jump in the band wagon.

Its just a reference point to start, but yea, having a temp gauge on the setup will help you dial in the ski for better efficiency and performance. Toss in the proper valve and you will be able to dial it in when needed...
