I'm also interested in this. I always trailer mine when I'm done, but it would be covenient to leave it in the water.

I've done it - it won't hurt anything for one night - but not a great habit to get into.

Biggest issue is that there is so much moisture around that nothing dries out.

depends on the water I would imagine. I have left it in for 2 weeks and it came out completely covered in barnacles.

    edit: this is brackish water

We leave our ski in the water all the time. Most of the time it can be in the water up to 4 days without being taken out. No issues to this point, just keep it tied up good.

It's ok to leave your ski in the water over night, but be cautious of the following:

*If it's in salt water, it won't take long for corrosion to start making an appearance.

*Make sure your O rings on your bilge plugs are in good shape. If they are split, a small trickle of water can bypass your ball valve and flood your compartment.

*If you're tying it up to a bulkhead/wall make sure you leave enough slack in the rope to "swing w/the tide".

*If tying up to a pier/wharf, make sure you don't have too much slack or the ski can float underneath on a low tide, only to be crushed on a rising tide.

I leave mine in the bay all summer (june to September). I screw a 4 foot anchor approx 6 feet out from the edge of the bay and anchor my seadoo to it. I have done this for 2 years in a row now.
