    CDI Question

I have a 1995 Polaris SL 650 that has a bad CDI. In my parts bin I have a CDI from a 1993 750. The question I have is, will that CDI work in the 1995 without causing any problems? The only thing that needs to be done is the black/yellow wire needs the end changed to go to the terminal board for the kill switch.
    Any help would be great....

    Thanks.

    93 650 and 93 750 had the same part# for the cdi. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

    interesting

The ID part # is the same, BUT the 650 had 18* and the 750 had 16* ignition timing.

I know the flywheel on the 650 is different from the 780. The 1995 650 flywheel I have...I matched up to a 1993 750 and they are look the same, it is hard to tell the position of the weights, but they look damn close.

750 (not positive about 1993) and 780 flywheels are the same.

    The 650 is much different.

    Kevin,

The 1993 750 looks just like the 1995 650. (flywheel) That why I am thinking the 1993 CDI out of that 750 would work on that 1995 650 that I have a bad CDI in...what do you think?

According to Starflight's cross reference, it should work.
