Boat nav lights question
so ive been curious.. ive been reading about the requirements for boat navigation lights.. the red/green ones.. everything mentioned really only applies to the minimal amount... what about if u wanted to take it further.. could you say line the whole port side of the boat with like a red LED rope lighting and vise versa with the starboard side with green LED rope lighting... just to help with visiblity at night plus i think it look cool .. what do u think ??

that would be more of a decoration than a navigational aid at that point

its still no wake after dark on all lakes that I know of...I really dont see the point besides visiting a buddy or something like that on the other side of the cove, river ect..instead of driving all the way around.

i bet it would look cool, but i also bet the LAW would be over to check you out EVERTIME you are out there.....

that is true.. trying to be safe and prolly end up get checked out by the sheriff more often, making it more of a hassle than its worth..

Im looking to do nav light on my RXP. im out at night ALL the time on the bay here and there are NO cops out at night. boat are car here and we always travel by boat everywhere. I think the main reason pwc arent allowed on the lake after dust is the fact they dont have nav light. Add on a good set and you should be fine.
