Thread: "Supercharger Maintenance"

Just got the "Supercharger Maintenance" message on the digital readout @ the 100hr mark yesterday on my '08 RXT-X. What does this entail? I thought the supercharger washer issue was resolved, meaning longer supercharger life than 100 hours.

yes they addressed the ceramic issue by going to metal washers but by the BRP book it is considered a wear item and does need to be rebuilt at 100 hours....even if it dosent seem to need it im sure there is wear on the gear in your ski from the 100 hours of use. save yourself a headache and rebuild your SC, you dont want those metal washers to fail. PM Greenhulk himself about his SC rebuilding, hell tell what you need and youll save money over going to the dealership.

At least put bearings in it check the slip, 9nm minimum.
If you don't ride it real hard you could go 150 hours.
