It's not really bad if you don't keep it wound out to 8000rpms... My Rxp-X gets better mpg than the yamaha gp1300r...

I have an R&D grate and a 15/22 and my mileage is very good. I didn't notice it being any worse than my 215 before I did the mods.

The R&D grate helps dramaticaly!!! Stock grate is very radical and has the hull sucked to the water.

If you are getting 3 to 4 hours at wot, you must have the most fuel efficient 215 ever made. I have made my RXT-X snort back a full tank in an hour.
The 215 is rated at 17 gph or 60 litres per hour.

I have a 2008 215hp and was thinking the same thing. Seems to me im only getting 2 hrs to a tank. Im only at 11hrs now but since new ive slowly been beating on it more and more. I think if i wasnt doing WOT in a ft of chop with the shitty stock grate id get better milage. I think it comes down to how you ride. I know 1ft tank lasted me 4hrs but after i got some hrs on it and opened her up i could pretty much watch the gas guage drop.

Any mod besides the grate can i do to inprove milage?
