    Can someone post a pic of UMI steering installed on RXP? got ques on install

    UMI has a special tool for removing wires from the connectors so that you can route them... basically it's just a very thin walled tube that slides over the pin... then you just pull the wire out.

    Hmm.. ok. Ill have to see if I can pull them out somehow without that tool

    You can use a very small flat head screw driver... there is a little tab on each side of the pin that holds it in the plastic connector.

    what about the button covers? how do they attach to the umi vts housing?

    Which button covers?. If your talking about the mode buttons, there is no location made to mount to umi.

    no, i have an 06. its the start/stop and vts. Im trying to mount the button covers to the umi billet housing.

    My UMI billet housing on my old XP doesn't use the button covers... but that could have changed now???
