    Unhappy stickers

    hi this might be a dumb question but how do i get the warning stickers that are in french anyway off my ski they are very thin and like foil a bit,i have tried tee tree oil which does weaken the glue but the sticker just tears,any help appreciated

    You need to get a heat gun and carefully heat the sticker. Once it's heated enough it will peel right off leaving only some glue residue behind. Then use a product like goo gone to remove the glue residue. A propane torch will also work if you keep the flame low and not too close to the sticker. You have to be very careful to move it around and not heat up the area too much to damage the paint.

    Use Goo-gone straight up, or any label and sticker remover with a razor. You should be fine.

    If you have a black hull do not use a razor blade. Go with the heat gn and goo gone.

    acetone works for me, along with elbow grease

    but dont get it close to the plastics!

    Yeah, James K said it works great on his glove box lid, using acetone....it ate up the surface,smeared it like hot butter. It works fine on the 'painted' surfaces NOT bare plastic.

    thanks for the help didnt like the idea of razor blade on my lovley white hull so went and got myself heat gun today and the sticker was gone in about 10 min
