Racing ultra 250x Engine
Hi, i don't like to upgrade my engine mod 2008 with 09 piston and cam with 6 timing to pulley or turbo.
The ski has 60 hours.
Maybe i prefer to upgrade the engine to reach high hp from woring the engine.
It could be safer maybe?
What to do to gain a lot hp?
I would like to have more conpression.... Which one to buy?

i am assuming that you mean boring the motor as in enlarging the cyllinders... its expensive, you need to get the cylinders bored out honed and replated around 4 or 5 hundred if i remember right, plus custom pistons and gaskets, which puts you around 1500 to 1600 plus tuning, its not worth it, i really wanted to and its just too expensive.

Boring a 1500 to 1600 makes the walls between the cylinders to thin and overheat causing the head gasket to burn thru and loose compression along with cooling leaks.

HI, sorry but i have read this http://www.teammotoracing.com/?cat=90 .
Now my idea is to take away my motor from hull and make some upgrade.
What to do to have a lot of hp? Which piston? need new valve train? need carrillo rods?
there is written to reach 350 hp with stock pulley and stock hull!!!
I need to do it a new engine??
Please some ideas thansk

you need an engine builder, send skips a nice fat cheque he will make you a fast motor.

i have sent a lot of emails some moth ago but no one reply...maybe i have not a good email but the most diccut things is distance but no probs!!!

Ya sorry for that.
Sometimes your questions translate poorly.
You also was hitting me up for information at the peak of our race season. Along with time dedicated to MoteC training and building race motors, well my priorities shifted to that and not so much the internet.
What your asking for is a race motor. Be prepared to spend some jack and to constantly be maintenance it. Best if you build it yourself so you'll be able to service it yourself too.
Soon fully built performance short blocks and long blocks will be available for purchase.

don't worry, you are a legend for me due to your work but more for your widespread opinion with people! this is a good quality.THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK!!!!
I have not so much motor skill but during these moths reading and reading i'm growing ....improve my skills.....And i love to improve myself.
I would like to have a faster ski.
Now as you can see my config is
2008 ultra 250x 60 hours with new belt, oil , filter and spark plugs, just cleaned the ski.
-09 pistons and cam
-riva wb and exhaust
-r&d intake grate
-open stock intake
I ran gps 66 mph with this prop. Maybe with the other one something more. Tests are done in the choppy sea.
NOW i want to improve the ski . i would like to reach 75!!! But i don't like turbo, too many changes, i don't like the pulley upgrade due to you can destroy vey easy the sc!!!
The only one solution is to touch engine plus pump....maybe a skatty??
If i touch engine i need in any case to use racing fuel? this could be difficult to find.....
Let me know if i am correct...
How to reach 75??? Turbo \ Pulley \ Engine (budget,cc or offshore , reliability , risk of broken???)

My mods for 75+
Jims Riva modded ride plate
Impros reworked prop
I would hit 75 with half a tank.
I then changed the 09 pistons to JE's. (not pump gas friendly with advanced timing) and would hit 75 with more fuel. Not saying your gonna see the same results, but letting you know where to start!

Thank you for your advice.
I have 09 cam and pistons.... Jim'm mod what is?? Please let me know more about your choice of pulley...isn't it dangerous?? To much hot air into sc? isn't better to be safe a 1:1? what fuel upgrede for this pulley?
Sorry but to sum up if i upgrade with a pulley which are the risks?
break the belt \ hot air in the engine and destroy it \ destroy sc ?
