? for those running w/out pump cone
i was tired of seing my prop cone ride up the driveshaft even after putting it on with channel locks and loctite so when i saw Jerry's post about running without i was thrilled. sine then i've been running no cone with anti seize (since it sticks to your hands so well) and i noticed when i took my pump about with about 10 hours on it with no cone and the antiseize that it was pretty much dry and starting to rust. I just bought a new driveshaft a few months ago for $380 so i'm not trying to burn another one. this time i went with a mixture of antiseize and nolox(an anti-oxidant for electrical wiring thats pretty sticky). i was wondering what everyone without a cone was running as a lubricant and how it was holding up. i know without a cone it will become more routine to pull the pump for inspection and re lubing, but just trying to find the best stuff for the job.

hmm makes me think I should pull my pump when I winterize so it doesn't rust over.
I put the stock rubber shaft in mine with some right stuff and after it dried I cut it flush with PVC cutters. I then filled it with antisieze so I hope that stops water... Guess I'll know for winter because I'm dialed.
