    98 slh jet pump question

So I bought a pair of skis used... a 97 hurricane, and a 98 slh.. the slh had a rebuilt motor and needed to be reassembled.. everything was in a big box-o-bolts. anyways, I finished the assembly, and after everything was done, I noticed the plastic intake tube that runs along the right side of the jet pump is bent, like it is about 3/4" too long or so... well, I looked up a parts diagram online and found there is a part that I don't remember seeing when I put it all together.. the pump wedge... now, is this even needed for a model with power trim ? is there a way to just shorten the plastic intake pipe? or should I locate a wedge and put that in there?
Thanks in advance for any info.

You need the wedge even with trim. John Zigler may have what you need. I believe it came stock with a 4 degree.

    Welcome to the Hulk.

You don't necessarily NEED the pump wedge, but it would be better if you did use.

Zigler should have one for you, and yes a 4* was stock.

ok, thanks.. I wasn;t sure if I needed it or not, but was concerned when I noticed the plastic intake pipe had a big bend in it, and wasn't sure if I could just shorten it or not. I am guessing that when I unbolt everything, the plastic pipe will still have a bend in it, unles maybe I try heating it up or something slightly to straighten it. I was thinking about leavin it without the wedge, and just puttin the dremel to good use and shorten the pipe, but I dunno, probably will just get me a wedge for it and do it right... for now it'll probably stay as it is, and get parts over the winter that I need... There's a few other misc. things I need to get for it, and the hurricane also.
    Thanks again, Shane
