    Want to post this.....Please read

Guys today i was out checking for water leaks and just lil odd and end stuff, i live on the lake etc and this was just a goof off 5 min session as i had other things to do....Long story short, i WAS NOT wearing a life jacket and was running wot with my 05 stage 3 plus boat back to the house and new riva plate and i got bucked off at 8450....I flopped across the water like a flat rock being skipped.. No one was around, no one saw what went down, i think my Riva grate broke. Guys i cannot walk and my lower back is messed up to the pint where i cannot walk for now or maybe a few days...i am a lil cocky and think sometimes i am untouchable when it comes to getting hurt and pushing things on the edge...Please remember to to wear a life vest every time even if its for just a quick goof off session...I may get flammed and get called an idiot for not having it on...It will alwats be on from now on...Just wanted to pass this along and hopefully it will make a diff when someone is about to ride there skis...

I hope you're gonna be feeling better soon.

I've gone out without a vest...I felt....odd...the ski I was on needed a battery and a fuse replaced. So, it was a slow, short trip. Don't figure I'd have gone wot...for any length of time if it was running right....I felt that out of place....sorry.

    Wow hope you heal well..

Its always when you least expect it. Most accidents happen within 5 miles from the house.. A word to the wise learn from this post.. I never put my lanyard in without the proper gear on. (Period Bet) I have several rules about riding and to always have a vest on is one of them. Hope you heal well..

Is it cool with you if I move this thread to the safety section to gain more exposure?

    Lucky

Dude, I think you already realize this but you are lucky to be alive right now. A dismount at those speeds with no vest, I can't even imagine. Anyway, glad you are alright...

You don't have to wear it but if you don't you lose the exemptions like carrying a fire extinquisher and paddle. If you don't have it on they can fine you for the others.
