    H1N1

Any of you guys or family members caught this yet? Looking to see how long it lasts. My 12 year old tested positive for it yesterday and we started meds right away. Just curious to see how long the little guy would be down.

My son started feeling bad with fever on Wednesday, took him dr. yesterday, and today the fever is tapering off but his cough it getting worse now.
My wife went up to his school yesterday and they did not seem the least bit concerned.

Almost 100 kids at my daughters school has it. Seems to take 3 or 4 days. They can't go back to school for 7 days from first showing symptoms.

+1 While I think it is serious, I think it is being blown out of proportion. Sounds like a fancy name for the flu.

Right but from what I understand, it is especially hard on people with respatory problems. My son who has this flu has asthma and me and another son have bad allergies so I can't help but be overly concerned.

I had it. I work in a public school. I was very busy and didnt want to take time off so I somehow managed to get myself into work but I felt like I was dying. It lasted two full days. On the first day I had a fever of over 102.

My boy hit 103+ a couple of times. Not fun as a parent since there is little you can do to make it better.
