    Carbon film around exhaust outlet

I have a 96xp that is a limited mod motor and i notice after riding that the rear exhaust outlet will have a black film around the hole. It's not alot but it is noticable. Are my carbs too rich? I notice that if i go through a no wake zone that when i go and get on the gas the ski will run a lil ruff until it clears out and runs awesome. The carbs are modded stockers by novi and there 42's. The jetting is 75 pilots and 155 mains with 2.0 N&S with 80 gram spring and they are attached to prok air filters. I also run a spec 2 pipe.

    I run premix 40-1 Klotzs

Black film is completely normal. I'm surprised you haven't noticed it sooner.

Even with stock injection it would soot up on the transom.

In that case just stick with the Simple Green. Just when she pisses you off, whip out the Mean Green.
