Mirror Glass Removal
I didn't find anything on this...
I am planning on repainting my ski and want to get good paint coverage in the housings around the mirrors. Rather than chase the mirror around the housing with paint I went in after them. Using some stainless steel shim stock, .007" thk I think, I was able to cut the sealant holding the glass in the frame so that I could get to the screws. For reference the shim stock is approx. 1.13" wide. I started in the middle like the first pic and sawed back and forth to cut the sealant.
These mirrors are from a 98 GTXL
