Thread: Throttle body

Hey guys, lookin for some advise regarding an RXP throttle body I purchased recently. It has been modified and bored out by seadoo centre but has had the idle bypass removed and capped off. Will this create any issues as I am thinking it will at least cause a rough idle and possibly even throw a fault code.
Ill attach some pics and specs if anyone wants to see, but if it doesnt suit my application it might be of use to someone else.

Same thing happened to me, you need to connect your ski to the BUDS to clear the TBS

It may hunt around for a proper idel speed without the iac connected

You must go to the dealer,to reset your tps sensor.
Your ecu must be reset, this is always the case when another throttlebody

So all in all it should run fine even without the idle bypass if I reset ECU with BUDS??

if you dont run a EMS system , you need the Idle bypas valve for correct throttle calibration . you need to re install the bypass valve, then connect your ECU to the BUDS system

Ross did my TB mod. The TBS/TPS was not working properly. I took it to the dealer they install the BUDS system. The sensor was reading 20% from a 85% spec. I replace the TBS/TPS and everything is working good now with readings of 85%. My recommendations take in let the dealer install the BUDS system and be in the safe side. If you running aftermarket parts check your AFR my ski was running 11.5 AFR WOT but no hole shot(idle speed and midrange was out of range).
