Unless you are running really high boost and compression and rpm's, 93 is all you need...

I put racing fuel in my Ford Escort one time and spanked 2 Corvettes and a Lambo racing light to light. Run a tank of it and tell us your improvements. Be sure to video tape it or no one will believe it.

You will be wasting your time and money. You will not see any improvement. Higher octane just slows down the flame front.

unless your engine internals are not made for high octane dont waste your time and money. high octane gas burns slower and is colder on the charge than low octane that is why high compression and high boost set-ups run them...

People tend to get octane number, energy content (btu/lbm), and burn rate all confused because octane number happens to be the most readily available fuel spec.

The btu content of race fuels is roughly the same as pump fuels, which means that they will make very close to the same power. It only enables you to make more power by adding timing or boost. However, on the 4-tec's, you could run upwards of 20 psi on pump fuel, so there are very few out there that could actually benefit.
